    I note the shows like this : 2CM for example. The last letter is M or C. If it is C, it means CDDA (lossless). If it's M, it means MPEG (lossy, mp3 source).

    I tested every show with TAU or Trader's Little Helper. So every concert with an M as last letter, it will be MP3 source.

    And Even if you make an perfekt "gapeless" file using mp3s It Ain´t a Looseless file ...It wasn´t when you started .....so.....It will never be one.....


    so back to my (for me) very imporant question :


    "Are there any other "lossy" (where you´ve used mp3s)among your uploads 1979 to 1985 that you know of?"

    I know that fact : if the source is lossy, converting in flac won't change anything. BUT : when you convert any audio file into mp3, the convertion creates a little BLANK at the beginning or at the end of the file (you can see it with audacity for example).

    SO i convert every MP3 into .wav, in order to "erase" the micro gaps .

    THEN i convert the .wav file into FLAC,  and you can enjoy a perfect file, gapless.

    If it was easier, i wouldn't lose my time uploading FLAC.

    I´ve downloaded some stuff from your site....thanks very much.   (Very Nice)


     


    But I don´t see the reason converting "Lossy" files


     


    and offer Fake "FLAC" files (I can convert my own FLAC files from  MP3 , but it ain´t Lossless and It can never be)


     


    Especially when IT makes the Taper Don´t wanna share his Orignal FLAC files.....


     


    Are there any other "Lossy" files among your uploads (1979 to 1985) that you know of?

    Le son ne sera malheureusement pas meilleur en FLAC : les fichiers d'origine étant en MP3, donc dégradés, le FLAC sera aussi dégradé.

    Je ne le propose en FLAC que parce que j'ai supprimé les "blancs", les microcoupures entre chaque morceau du fait de l'encodage MP3.
